Junior Software QA Specialist
What You’ll Do
– Execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and API layers.
– Design concise test plans that cover functional, regression, and smoke scenarios.
– Log reproducible defects with clear steps, screenshots, and videos.
– Re-test fixes and provide fast feedback during daily stand-ups.
– Pair with developers to triage root causes and refine acceptance criteria.
– Maintain living documentation in Jira/Xray, Confluence, or similar.
– Track coverage metrics, suggest process tweaks, and champion product quality.
– Continuously explore new tools— Cypress, Playwright, Postman, Charles Proxy.
What You’ll Bring
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
– 0-2 years’ hands-on QA or internship experience testing web or mobile products.
– Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
– Working knowledge of test case design techniques (boundary, equivalence, risk-based).
– Familiarity with SQL for data validation and REST/JSON for API checks.
– Clear, concise written and verbal communication— you tell the defect story.
– Analytical mindset, eagle-eye attention to detail, and relentless curiosity.
– Eligibility to work full-time from any U.S. location; core hours align with Eastern Time.
