Junior Quality Assurance Analyst

What You’ll Do
- Craft concise test plans and reusable test cases for web, API, and mobile features.
- Execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests—manual today, automated tomorrow.
- Log clear, reproducible defects in JIRA (screenshots, steps, expected vs. actual).
- Analyze test results, spot quality trends, and suggest preventative actions.
- Verify fixes in staging, approve builds for production, and support weekly releases.
- Track coverage gaps; refine checklists to close them.
- Collaborate daily with developers, UX, and product managers in Agile ceremonies.
- Document user-facing issues so support and clients grasp impact instantly.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 0-2 years of QA or internship experience in a software environment.
- Working knowledge of SDLC, defect tracking, and version control.
- Ability to write clear test cases and think like an end-user.
- Strong analytical mindset, keen attention to detail, and relentless curiosity.
- Effective written and verbal communication within cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have Extras
- Familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Basic SQL for data validation.
- Awareness of RESTful API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia).
- ISTQB or similar certification.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
