Junior HR Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities
– Enter, audit, and update employee information across HRIS platforms (Workday, BambooHR) with 99.9 % precision.
– Process hires, transfers, terminations, compensation changes, and benefits elections within established SLA windows.
– Monitor federal, state, and local compliance requirements; escalate risk items and propose corrective actions.
– Respond to Tier-1 employee inquiries on policy, pay, and benefits—delivering clear answers within 24 hours.
– Document end-to-end workflows, identify bottlenecks, and draft process improvements that cut cycle time.
– Track operational metrics (error rate, turnaround time, case volume) and surface trends to HR leadership.
– Partner with Payroll, Finance, and IT to reconcile data and ensure seamless downstream integrations.
– Continuously expand proficiency in HR operations tools through sandbox testing, webinars, and peer sessions.
Must-Have Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
– 0-2 years of experience in HR operations, shared services, or high-volume data entry.
– Working knowledge of HRIS/ATS platforms; bonus for hands-on time with Workday or BambooHR.
– Intermediate Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables) and familiarity with Google Sheets.
– Solid grasp of federal employment law basics (FLSA, EEOC, I-9).
