What You Will Do
- Translate complex business questions into efficient data queries using SQL to extract and manipulate information from various databases.
- Develop, automate, and maintain insightful reports and interactive dashboards using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform thorough data cleaning, validation, and preparation to ensure the absolute integrity and accuracy of our foundational datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketing, finance, and product development—to provide the analytical support needed for critical projects.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify significant trends, uncover hidden patterns, and discover anomalies that can inform high-level business strategy.
- Meticulously document data sources, methodologies, and analytical findings to create a transparent, repeatable, and scalable process for the entire organization.
- Assist senior analysts with complex data investigations and contribute your ideas to the evolution of our data infrastructure and best practices.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Foundational proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases... this is a non-negotiable skill for success in this role.
- Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data modeling for sophisticated analysis.
- Exposure to at least one major data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio) for creating compelling visual stories.
- A strong analytical mindset with the innate ability to deconstruct complex problems and interpret data with a critical eye.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to clearly explain technical findings and their implications to non-technical stakeholders.
- A genuine curiosity and an insatiable eagerness to learn; you must be adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- *(A significant plus)* Basic understanding of a scripting language like Python (especially with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy) or R.
