Customer Service Administrator – Entry Level, Remote-Friendly
You will become the first line of contact for a fast-scaling software organization. The position blends classic administration with modern customer support. You will handle inquiries, process online orders, maintain CRM records, and collaborate with developers, QA, and sales. Expect to dive into ticketing tools, data dashboards, and knowledge bases while mastering conflict resolution.
Key Duties
- Respond to phone, chat, and email questions within SLA windows.
- Accurately process subscription orders and refunds in the internal platform.
- Record, update, and audit customer data across Salesforce and Excel sheets.
- Schedule virtual appointments for onboarding and product training.
- Route complex technical issues to engineering, monitoring progress to closure.
- Draft concise articles and canned responses that enrich the self-service portal.
- Track recurring pain points; propose process tweaks backed by data.
- Support sales campaigns by preparing quotes and tracking renewals.
- Organize digital files, contracts, and call recordings for easy retrieval.
- Maintain calm professionalism while defusing escalations.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related discipline.
- 0-2 years of customer service or help desk experience (internships count).
- Command of English grammar and clear, empathetic communication.
- Solid MS Office skills—especially Excel formulas & pivot tables.
- Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Keyboarding speed 45+ WPM with high accuracy.
- Proven multitasking and time-management finesse.
- Analytical mindset—comfortable extracting insights from data exports.
- Unflappable under pressure; quick to adapt to shifting priorities.
Preferred Extras
- Exposure to ticketing tools such as Zendesk or Freshdesk.
- Basic SQL understanding for ad-hoc reporting.
- Knowledge of e-commerce workflows, chargebacks, and SaaS billing.
- Bilingual Spanish, French, or Mandarin.
- Experience with screen-share troubleshooting or remote desktop software.
