Junior UI/UX Designer | Remote Entry-Level Design Job

- Conduct guerrilla usability tests and synthesize findings into actionable design tweaks.
- Iterate on UI components within an atomic design system to ensure consistency and accessibility.
- Partner daily with product managers, engineers, and analysts during Agile ceremonies.
- Document user journeys, interaction patterns, and rationale in the design knowledge base.
- Maintain and evolve the shared Figma library—icons, tokens, variables, and motion presets.
- Shadow senior designers during stakeholder demos; present your own work with clear storytelling.
- Stay abreast of WCAG, iOS HIG, and Material Design updates, proposing improvements proactively.
Skills & Experience
- Portfolio showcasing at least two UI/UX projects—class, freelance, or bootcamp.
- Proficiency with Figma (auto-layout, variants) and familiarity with Sketch or Adobe XD.
- Solid grasp of typography, color theory, spacing, and responsive grids.
- Basic understanding of user research methods: surveys, interviews, A/B tests.
- Comfort analyzing metrics in tools such as Hotjar or Google Analytics.
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to defend design decisions.
- Growth mindset—you actively seek critique and transform feedback into stronger solutions.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to HTML, CSS, or Tailwind for design-to-code empathy.
- Knowledge of motion principles and micro-interaction design in After Effects or Principle.
- Experience contributing to a component library or design system repository.
Why You’ll Thrive
- Direct access to senior mentors who review work weekly—fast skill acceleration.
- Diverse product verticals keep challenges fresh and learning curves steep.
- Fully remote setup across U.S. time zones; flexible core hours encourage work-life harmony.
- Annual design stipend for conferences, courses, and hardware upgrades.
