Junior UI Designer Job

A mid-sized, U.S.-based digital company builds cross-platform products for finance, healthcare, and gaming brands. Our design group pairs human-centered research with rapid prototyping to launch features used by millions. You’ll join a multidisciplinary squad that ships weekly and measures success through data, not opinion.

What You’ll Do  

- Translate product requirements into low- to high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.  

- Refine visual hierarchy, color systems, grids, and typography for responsive web and native mobile experiences.  

- Partner daily with front-end engineers to ensure seamless implementation of Figma designs.  

- Conduct quick usability tests, synthesize findings, and iterate on UI flows.  

- Maintain and expand a shared design system, documenting components and interaction patterns.  

- Export production-ready assets and specs for developers using Zeplin or similar tools.  

- Contribute to sprint planning, design critiques, and post-launch analysis.  

- Stay informed about WCAG, accessibility best practices, and emerging UI trends.  

What You Bring  

- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.  

- 0-2 years’ professional UI experience or a strong portfolio of academic projects.  

- Proficiency with Figma; familiarity with Sketch and Adobe XD is a plus.  

- Solid grasp of layout, spacing, typography, and color theory.  

- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and component-based frameworks (React or Vue) to communicate with developers.  

- Comfort presenting design rationale to cross-functional teams.  

- Sharp attention to detail—every pixel counts.  

- Growth mindset and openness to feedback in fast iterations.  

- Authorization to work in the United States.  

Extra Credit  

- Experience designing for fintech, e-commerce, or healthcare applications.  

- Motion design skills in After Effects, Principle, or Lottie.  

- Familiarity with accessibility tooling such as Axe or Lighthouse.
