What You'll Do
- Diligently process and audit employee timesheets, ensuring all data for hours worked, overtime, and leave is entered with absolute accuracy into our time and attendance systems.
- Maintain and organize comprehensive digital records, including timesheet submissions, approvals, and related payroll documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
- Serve as a key support pillar for the payroll department, assisting with data reconciliation and resolving discrepancies prior to critical payroll processing cycles.
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers, handling inquiries regarding timekeeping policies, timesheet corrections, and submission deadlines with professionalism and clarity.
- Proactively conduct regular audits of timekeeping records to guarantee data integrity and unwavering adherence to company policies and federal/state labor regulations.
- Assist in the generation of detailed labor reports, providing valuable data for management analysis on project costing, workforce productivity, and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with HR and management to schedule periodic employee reviews and ensure related administrative tasks are handled efficiently and confidentially.
- Champion best practices in data management, constantly seeking opportunities to improve processes and enhance the efficiency of our timekeeping operations.
Core Qualifications
- A completed associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
- An obsessive attention to detail—you find satisfaction in precision and can spot an inconsistency or error from a mile away.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a remote work setting.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with intermediate to advanced functions in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Foundational understanding of basic payroll principles and the critical importance of compliance in all timekeeping activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining policies and procedures clearly and professionally to a diverse audience.
- A high degree of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience (including internships) in a data entry, administrative, or HR support role is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with modern time and attendance software or Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms such as UKG (Kronos), ADP Workforce Now, Paycom, or similar systems.
