Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute clean, efficient SQL queries, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application development.

- Assist in the logical and physical design of relational database schemas to meet evolving business requirements.

- Perform rigorous data integrity testing and validation to guarantee the accuracy and consistency of critical information.

- Troubleshoot and debug database-related issues, working diligently to identify root causes and implement robust, long-term solutions.

- Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and administration of our diverse database environments (development, testing, and production).

- Collaborate effectively with software developers, data analysts, and project managers to understand data needs and deliver exceptional results.

- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for database schemas, processes, and data models to ensure knowledge is shared.

- Analyze and optimize query performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements for faster, more reliable data retrieval.

- Support complex data migration projects, ensuring a seamless transfer of data between systems with minimal downtime.

- Implement and adhere to database security best practices to protect sensitive company and customer information.


What You Bring to the Table

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

- Solid foundational knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience writing queries against relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

- A strong theoretical understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization concepts.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous eye for detail—nothing gets past you.

- Foundational experience with a version control system, preferably Git.

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- A proactive and collaborative mindset; you are a true team player who is always ready to learn and contribute.

- Exposure to performance tuning and query optimization techniques.

- Basic understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes or familiarity with related tools.
