Junior Remote Payroll & Data Specialist (Timekeeper)

Your Impact and Responsibilities
- Meticulously perform data entry for all employee timesheets into our timekeeping systems, guaranteeing unparalleled accuracy and timeliness.
- Act as a vital support pillar for the payroll department, assisting with crucial data verification, reconciliation, and pre-processing tasks.
- Diligently track and audit employee work hours across various departments, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and U.S. labor regulations.
- Maintain and organize a high volume of digital records and documentation with precision, ensuring all data is secure and easily retrievable for audits and reporting.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding timecards and attendance records, providing clear, professional, and timely responses.
- Collaborate on generating weekly and monthly reports, transforming raw time data into actionable business insights for management review.
- Proactively identify and resolve timesheet discrepancies by investigating issues and applying your problem-solving skills to maintain data integrity.
What You Bring to the Table
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field is highly preferred.
- An exceptional eye for detail—you possess an innate ability to notice the small things that others might miss and are committed to accuracy.
- Proven proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with intermediate to advanced functions in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas).
- Foundational understanding of basic payroll principles and timekeeping regulations (knowledge of FLSA is a huge plus!).
- Superb organizational and time-management skills; you can effortlessly juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting professionally and effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow within a data-focused, analytical role.
- Experience with modern time and attendance software or enterprise-level HRIS/payroll systems (like Workday, ADP, or Kronos) is beneficial but not required.
