Junior Purchasing Assistant - Remote Supply Chain Role

Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the procurement team with the end-to-end purchasing process, from initial requisition to final receipt of goods.
- Execute accurate and timely data entry for all purchase orders (POs) and vendor information into our central ERP system.
- Proactively track and monitor shipments to guarantee on-time delivery and swiftly communicate to resolve any potential delays.
- Maintain meticulous digital records and organized files for all purchasing activities, contracts, and vendor documentation.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, cultivating positive and professional relationships through clear communication.
- Coordinate intricate order details and delivery schedules between internal departments and external suppliers.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure supply accuracy against purchase orders and report any discrepancies for swift resolution.
- Assist in preparing reports and analyses related to purchasing activities, vendor performance, and cost savings.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail—you notice the small things that others might miss.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and vendors across the country.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (experience with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas is essential).
- Demonstrated ability to manage your time effectively, prioritize competing tasks, and meet deadlines in a fully remote setting.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the capacity to adapt to changing priorities and find solutions independently.
- Prior internship or 0-2 years of entry-level experience in purchasing, supply chain, or administration is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with common ERP systems (like SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or Coupa) or procurement software is highly desirable.
