Junior Mail Clerk / Sorter

Key Responsibilities
– Sort inbound paper and electronic mail by department, priority, and SLA—ensuring 100 % delivery accuracy.
– Distribute envelopes, parcels, and internal memos through automated routing software and smart lockers.
– Prepare outbound mailings: weigh, meter, label, and manifest packages for USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
– Update mail logs, tracking numbers, and exception reports in Microsoft Excel and proprietary databases.
– Monitor supply levels (labels, toner, padded mailers) and trigger just-in-time reorders.
– Scan, index, and archive documents to SharePoint or Google Drive for seamless retrieval.
– Respond to staff inquiries regarding delivery status, lost items, or special handling needs.
– Support facilities projects—package room re-layout, ergonomic cart setup, process documentation.
Required Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
– Foundation in Microsoft Office Suite; fluency with Excel filters, pivot tables, and basic VLOOKUP.
– Proven organizational acumen—juggle multiple queues while meeting time-boxed deadlines.
– Keen attention to detail; zero-defect mindset when handling confidential data.
– Clear written and verbal communication, adapting tone for executives, vendors, and peers.
– Customer-centric attitude and collaborative spirit within diverse, distributed teams.
– Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods when onsite.
– Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

– Experience with Pitney Bowes, Quadient, or similar postage systems.
– Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite, SAP Concur, or ServiceNow ticketing.
