Junior Facilities Assistant
As a core member of our team, you will be instrumental in shaping our workplace experience. This position is a fantastic opportunity to learn the ins and outs of corporate facilities and workplace services from the ground up, with significant potential for career advancement.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Be the first point of contact for any facility-related requests from staff. Yes, that includes the thermostat wars.
- Manage all our office supplies. This means keeping the good coffee flowing, the printers printing, and the supply closets from ever going empty.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for maintenance, repairs, and cleaning services. You'll get them scheduled and make sure the job gets done right.
- Help organize workspaces, set up new hire desks, and reconfigure conference rooms as needed.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages - you'll be the master of our mailroom.
- Assist with safety compliance checks and keeping our emergency procedures up-to-date. It's important.
- Keep simple records of maintenance tickets and supply orders.
We'd like to see:
- A degree in Business, Hospitality, or something similar is great, but real-world experience in a customer service or admin role counts for a lot.
- You are ridiculously organized. Your friends might make fun of you for it, but it's your superpower here.
- Solid communication skills. You can write a professional email and also have a friendly chat with the delivery guy.
- You know your way around Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). No need to be a wizard, just comfortable.
- A basic understanding of how buildings work is a plus- things like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. A willingness to learn is even better.
- You're a team player, but you can also work independently without someone looking over your shoulder.
