Junior Cloud Engineer – Entry Level | AWS Azure GCP

Remotely
Full-time

You will build, automate, and fine-tune multi-cloud environments that keep business-critical apps online 24 / 7. Expect hands-on scripting, container orchestration, and performance tuning—plus constant chances to sharpen your DevOps mindset.

What You’ll Tackle

- Configure elastic cloud resources (compute, storage, networking) using Infrastructure as Code.

- Deploy containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes—zero downtime is your mantra.

- Implement guardrails for security, compliance, and identity management.

- Instrument real-time monitoring dashboards (Prometheus, CloudWatch, Grafana) and respond to alerts.

- Hunt down cost anomalies then slash spend through rightsizing, reserved instances, and spot fleets.

- Write concise runbooks and architectural diagrams for future teammates.

- Support lift-and-shift or re-platform migrations—every service must cross the finish line.

- Collaborate daily with developers, cybersecurity analysts, and product owners.

Required Foundation

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- 1+ internship or academic project using any major cloud provider.

- Solid scripting in Python or Bash; Git for version control.

- Working knowledge of Linux administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, and JSON/YAML.

- Analytical spirit, growth mindset, and crisp written/spoken communication.

Nice-to-Have Extras

- Exposure to Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Basic understanding of IAM policies and role-based access control.

- Experience with logging stacks (ELK, Loki, Cloud Logging).

- Passed one associate-level cloud certification—or on track within 90 days.

Why This Team

The culture values psychological safety, blameless postmortems, and experimentation—so you can learn fast without fear. Remote work is standard; timezone overlap with Eastern or Central hours keeps collaboration smooth.

Career Path

Master cloud fundamentals today, evolve into a Site Reliability Engineer or Cloud Solutions Architect tomorrow. Performance reviews every six months chart clear milestones—architecture design, capacity planning, and finally technical leadership.
