Junior Back-End Engineer

Your Impact
- Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs that deliver secure, high-performance data services.
- Write modular server-side code in Java, Python, or Node.js, adhering to SOLID principles.
- Build queries, indexes, and migrations for PostgreSQL and MongoDB to maintain sub-second response times.
- Contribute to containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes; refine CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
- Diagnose production incidents, trace logs with OpenTelemetry, and propose preventive fixes.
- Author clear documentation that demystifies endpoints, database schemas, and deployment scripts.
- Pair with front-end, QA, and DevOps peers to ship features that delight end users.
- Continuously refactor code, remove technical debt, and advocate for performance optimizations.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 0-2 years of professional experience or substantial internship work in back-end development.
- Proficiency in at least one modern language: Java 17+, Python 3.11+, or Node.js 20+.
- Solid grasp of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB, Redis).
- Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, JSON, and authentication standards (OAuth2, JWT).
- Version control fluency with Git: branching, pull requests, and code review etiquette.
- Understanding of cloud services on AWS, Azure, or GCP—especially Lambda, ECS, or Cloud SQL.
- Strong analytical mindset, clear written and verbal communication, and team-oriented attitude.
