Junior Associate Data Scientist
You will turn messy data into clear, actionable insights that improve customer experiences and business outcomes. Expect to contribute to production models from day one and see your code influence decision-making at scale.
Daily Tasks
- Clean, normalize, and validate structured and unstructured datasets.
- Build statistical and predictive models in Python or R.
- Explore features through SQL queries, Pandas, and window functions.
- Visualize findings with Tableau, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
- Test hypotheses, document experiments, and track model drift.
- Present concise dashboards and slide decks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Pair program with senior data scientists to productionize notebooks into services.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and UX analysts to refine requirements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 0–2 years’ experience in data analysis or machine learning projects (academic or professional).
- Proficiency in Python fundamentals—NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn.
- Solid grasp of statistical inference, A/B testing, and probability.
- Working knowledge of SQL joins, CTEs, and query optimization.
- Ability to translate complex metrics into plain language.
- Clear written and spoken English for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to cloud data tooling (AWS S3, Redshift, Athena).
- Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Knowledge of Spark or distributed computing concepts.
- Participation in Kaggle competitions or open-source contributions.
