Junior Analytics Associate – SQL, Excel, Tableau
You step into an environment where curiosity fuels experimentation. The team blends cloud data warehouses, modern BI platforms, and rigorous data-quality checks. Your mission? Maintain clean datasets, craft dashboards that spark action, and surface performance trends before anyone asks.
What You’ll Do
- Query structured and semi-structured data with SQL to fetch, filter, and aggregate metrics.
- Build and refine Excel pivot tables, Power Query scripts, and VBA snippets for rapid insights.
- Design Tableau (or Power BI) visuals—bar races, heat maps, drill-down dashboards—that explain patterns to non-technical partners.
- Document assumptions, definitions, and lineage so teammates trust every metric.
- Track KPIs for product launches, marketing campaigns, and operational efficiency; flag anomalies early.
- Partner with engineering on ETL enhancements—validate field mappings, monitor data latency, suggest indexing.
- Present findings through data storytelling sessions that spark discussion and drive iteration.
- Continuously learn Snowflake, dbt, Python, and advanced statistical techniques—supported by internal workshops and certification budgets.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 0–2 years in an entry-level data analyst or business intelligence role—or standout academic projects that prove proficiency.
- Comfort writing SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY queries; you optimize with CTEs and window functions.
- Advanced Excel skills: nested formulas, pivot tables, and dash-worthy charts.
- Experience with at least one visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent).
- Zeal for precision—missing values, mismatched schemas, and duplicate IDs bother you.
- Clear, concise communication; you translate statistical jargon into practical next steps.
- Adaptability—new tools, shifting priorities, and distributed collaboration energize you.
Why You’ll Thrive Here
- Remote-first ethos across U.S. time zones, yet optional coworking stipends if you crave face-to-face ideation.
- A culture that celebrates questions, experimentation, and small wins that compound into big outcomes.
- Access to mentors who have scaled analytics at Fortune 500 and high-growth startups alike.
- Defined growth paths—from Junior Analytics Associate to Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist, or Product Analyst.
- Inclusive benefits that respect work-life integration, continuous learning, and mental well-being.
