HR Trainee (Remote) | People Operations

Key Responsibilities
- Support the entire employee journey, from coordinating new hire onboarding to assisting with offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and positive experience at every stage.
- Maintain impeccable data integrity within our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) - think Workday or BambooHR - by processing new hires, managing employee changes, and running routine audits.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, basic benefits questions, and system navigation, providing timely and helpful support.
- Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition team by assisting with job posting management, interview scheduling, and candidate communication through our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Participate in the administration of various People Operations programs, including performance management cycles, employee engagement surveys, and wellness initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining digital employee files and records, ensuring all documentation is compliant with federal and state regulations and that confidentiality is rigorously upheld.
- Contribute to special projects and research focused on improving HR processes, exploring new HR technologies, and enhancing our company culture.
- Help develop and update internal HR documentation and resources, making information easily accessible to the entire organization.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- A foundational understanding of core HR principles, including the employee lifecycle, basic compliance concepts (EEO, FMLA), and employee relations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; you are comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization, both in writing and verbally.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, especially when handling sensitive employee data.
- A proactive and curious mindset you are a natural problem-solver who is eager to learn and take on new challenges.
- High proficiency with modern productivity suites (Google Workspace or Microsoft Office 365).
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment while maintaining a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Bonus Points: Previous internship experience in HR or familiarity with an HRIS (like Workday, BambooHR) or an ATS (like Greenhouse, Lever).
