Key Responsibilities

- Write modular, testable JavaScript with Jest and Supertest—targeting 80 %+ coverage.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks, implement caching, and fine-tune queries for millisecond latency.
- Consume third-party APIs (Stripe, Twilio, Firebase) and handle authentication via OAuth2/JWT.
- Participate in daily Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and trunk-based Git workflows.
- Document architecture decisions, API contracts, and onboarding guides in Markdown.
- Support automated deployments through Docker, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
- Collaborate closely with React and mobile developers to deliver end-to-end features.
- Provide on-call rotation support alongside senior engineers, learning incident response best practices.
Required Skills
- 1+ year academic, internship, or freelance experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript (ES2022).
- Working knowledge of Express.js, REST principles, and asynchronous programming.
- Familiarity with MongoDB aggregation pipelines and basic SQL joins.
- Competence using Git, branching strategies, and pull-request etiquette.
- Clear written and verbal communication—able to explain complex ideas simply.
