About the Role
In this entry-level insights data analyst position, you will explore diverse datasets, surface hidden patterns, and deliver crisp visual narratives that steer product, marketing, and finance strategies. You will gain end-to-end project exposure—from data ingestion to executive presentation—while collaborating with senior analysts, engineers, and domain experts.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, clean, and validate structured and semi-structured data from SQL databases, APIs, and spreadsheets.
- Build reproducible queries (PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery) to monitor KPIs and highlight anomalies.
- Design interactive dashboards in Tableau or Power BI that reveal trends at a glance.
- Distil complex findings into concise slide decks and one-page briefs for non-technical stakeholders.
- Partner with product owners to translate insights into A/B tests, pricing tweaks, or UX improvements.
- Maintain a central data dictionary and document all analytical assumptions.
- Champion data quality—spot inconsistencies, propose schema fixes, automate validation scripts.
- Continuously refine your analytical toolkit through pair-coding sessions, lunch-and-learns, and mentor feedback.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, VBA macros).
- Solid SQL fundamentals—joins, window functions, CTEs, indexing strategies.
- Familiarity with a BI platform (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and basic DAX or visualization best practices.
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data wrangling and exploratory analysis.
- Strong storytelling mindset: you translate metrics into business narratives.
- Meticulous attention to detail plus the agility to juggle shifting priorities.
- Clear, inclusive communication style—written and verbal.
