EasyReg Ballot - WhatsApp & Entry Access

Extend and maintain an established Rails ballot and entry-access platform alongside the existing team. Implemented core CM.com WhatsApp delivery workflows with Sidekiq, persistent message/status history, duplicate controls, bounded retries and explicit handling of uncertain provider outcomes. Built initial result-import and winner-completion workflows, payment-preference synchronisation and the Ballot-side EasyQueue handoff. EasyReg - Payment Integrations & Registration

At Perfect Circle Design, I extend an established production Rails event-registration platform. My contributions include PayFast integration and Payflex callback verification, cancellation handling, partial-payment flows and RSpec coverage, building on an initial framework from a teammate. I also work on PayGate checkout recovery, duplicate-safe finalisation, reconciliation and event-operation workflows. The project link shows the public platform; the underlying product is maintained collaboratively.

Comrades Marathon - Instagram CMS Integration

Implemented the Instagram integration within an existing collaborative Rails CMS. Built the OAuth connection flow with state verification, token-expiry tracking and scheduled renewal, then integrated the feed into the CMS pod/page workflow. Added normal and fallback caching so previously retrieved feed content remains available during provider failures, plus controlled connection handling and API error logging. My contribution was the integration, rather than the whole website.

Bay Tissue Institute - Retry-Safe Payments & Billing

Contributed to an existing collaborative Rails platform at Perfect Circle Design. My billing work includes credit notes, credit-balance handling, payment allocation and reconciliation. I added account and payment locking, idempotent credit application with database uniqueness safeguards, and RSpec coverage for repeated callbacks, changed balances and invalid payments. FinishTime - Spreadsheet Imports & Analytics

Built a Rails application to transform historical race-result spreadsheets into structured athlete, race and result data. Implemented Roo-based workbook preview and column mapping, background processing with Sidekiq and Redis, row parsing, identity resolution, source-row provenance and import progress reporting. Added searchable result views, analytics dashboards and regression tests. PostgreSQL supports the application records. EasyQueue - Adaptive Waiting Room & Admission

Developed the initial Rails waiting-room and admission workflows at Perfect Circle Design. Implemented adaptive admission rates that respond to downstream application load, PostgreSQL-backed visitor records, Redis ticket coordination and live updates. Built secure Ballot handoff and recovery workflows, with concurrency-focused regression coverage. Later security, deployment and integration hardening was collaborative. Cape Town Cycle Tour - Events Calendar

Developed a dedicated Calendar Events engine for an existing Rails/Refinery CMS. Added admin CRUD, public calendar cards and event-detail modals, document attachments and CMS pod integration while preserving legacy Events and Events Grid behaviour. Used additive migrations and a guarded, repeatable legacy-data importer with a dry-run default. Added regression coverage for permissions, attachments, navigation and light/dark rendering. My contribution was the calendar and compatibility work within an established collaborative site.

Amobia - Rails & Refinery CMS Modernisation

Modernised an existing Rails/Refinery CMS application while preserving content, routes, uploads and editorial workflows. Worked on Ruby/Rails dependency compatibility, Refinery extensions, assets, authentication-related dependencies, PDF generation, routing and admin search/sorting. Added regression checks, boot/eager-load verification, database preparation and asset-precompilation checks, with rollback-oriented release handling. My contribution was the upgrade and compatibility work, rather than the original product or its visual design.
