Launch 2024: Our team successfully undertook the task of creating a live Nigerian elections blog and website for the Global populace. The Stears Elections, a live blog, and the polling arm of the website aimed to capture the attention of analysts from around the world seeking trusted sources of African Data and insight. The project consisted of several key phases, each contributing to a seamless and impactful launch. Overview: ● Stears' mission is to become the world's most trusted source of African data, insight and data collection tools for businesses, financial and policy professionals. The Polling and Elections aimed to provide insight into Africa’s political clime. Approach: ● The team undertook an extensive series of surveys conducted across the Nigerian population, meticulously analyzing a multitude of datasets. This rigorous approach not only fortified our understanding but also armed us with the essential tools to make precise predictions and unearth actionable insights. ● Through the strategic deployment of surveys and the thorough examination of complex data sets, we have fortified our capability to not just interpret trends, but also to drive informed decision-making with unwavering certainty. Created a Google Classroom Clone for 100ms: In the past few years, due to the pandemic, most educational institutions like schools and colleges are had to switch towards a completely online teaching experience. Many services on the internet assist teachers with this, one of the most popular being Google Classroom. This article will discuss how to create a Google Classroom clone with React and the 100ms SDK. Overview: ● Account Creation: Prior to diving into the code, initiate the process by setting up a 100ms account via the 100ms dashboard. This account creation will yield essential credentials such as the token_endpoint and room_id. These credentials play a pivotal role in the application's construction. ● Application Setup: Once your account is established, proceed with the following steps to craft and configure your application within the 100ms dashboard. ● Template Selection: During the app creation process, you'll be prompted to pick a template that aligns with your app's purpose. As our focus is on an Edtech application, opt for the Edtech template to ensure seamless compatibility with our Google classroom integration. Approach: ● After creating our app, we have to create two roles: student and teacher. Then we set up permissions for each role. ● For the student role, we can turn on some publishing strategies like the video and audio but turn off the screen share option as we don’t want students to have that option. Students will be able to switch on their video and audio so that they can be seen and can speak. Outcomes: ● Through efficient strategizing, we successfully brought the app to life, utilizing minimal coding to precisely delineate roles. This strategic approach not only enabled us to achieve our goal but also substantially slashed the expenditure of time and effort.
