Specialization: Game Developer
— I’m a developer from Nigeria, and over the past few years I’ve gradually moved from general software development into game development because I genuinely enjoy building things that people can interact with and experience. — I work mainly with Unity and C#, and I’ve spent a lot of time learning by actually building projects rather than just following tutorials. — One of my projects, Combat Arena, is a Unity game that I published on itch.io. I worked on the gameplay, player movement, shooting, enemy AI, UI, health systems, waves, scoring, and the other parts needed to turn the idea into a playable game. — I’m also currently working on mobile games like GuessIt and Ludo NX. With these projects, I’ve been involved in almost everything from designing the UI in Figma and creating animations in Rive to implementing the gameplay in Unity, testing, debugging, and preparing the games for release. — What I enjoy most is taking an idea that starts as “wouldn't it be cool if...” and figuring out how to actually make it work. — I’m still learning and there are definitely areas of Unity and game development that I want to become much better at, but I’m comfortable getting stuck on a problem, researching it, trying different approaches, and eventually figuring it out. — I also have a background in software development outside of games, which has helped me develop a good problem-solving mindset. — I use Git in my projects and I’m comfortable working with APIs, backend systems, and different development tools. — At this point, I’m looking for an opportunity where I can work with other developers, designers and artists, contribute what I already know, and learn from people who have more experience than me. — That’s one of the things that attracted me to this role. — I’m not looking for a position where I already know everything; I’m looking for a place where I can keep getting better while doing meaningful work. here is a link to my portfolio: https://victorjohnmarkportfolio.vercel.app/

Portfolio

GuessIt

GuessIt is a mobile puzzle game inspired by the 4 Pics 1 Word genre. ● I designed the core gameplay around four different visual clues that come together to form one answer. ● I have worked on the game design, Unity/C# implementation, gameplay flow, hints, progression and UI. ● I also designed the interface in Figma and built a separate content-management workflow using Cloudflare and Firebase so that new puzzle content can be managed remotely without having to rebuild the entire game each time.

Ludo NX

Ludo NX is a mobile Ludo game that I have been developing in Unity. ● I designed the game's interface in Figma and worked on the Unity implementation, gameplay systems and mobile UI. ● The project also gave me the opportunity to explore Rive for interactive UI animations and to think more deeply about progression, rewards, quests, tournaments, events and the overall player experience. ● I have been involved in the project from the design stage through development, testing and preparing the game for mobile publishing.

Combat Arena

Combat Arena is a third-person combat game I built in Unity. ● I handled the project myself, including player movement, shooting and combat, enemy AI, NavMesh navigation, health and damage, wave-based encounters, scoring, UI/HUD, audio and other gameplay systems. ● I also tested and debugged the game and prepared the playable build for publishing on itch.io. ● This is one of the projects I am most proud of because it was one of the projects where I took a game from an idea to something people could actually play.
