● Designed and implemented a Flask-based REST API service for management of market holiday data. ● Presented solution to all company Europe offices, demonstrating that this project solved existing problems with handling inconsistencies in market holiday forecasts, and optimized team performance by 5% through eliminating extra tasks associated with this issue. ● Performed extensive testing, from module unit tests to integrated testing, using a wide variety of tools such as pytest, unittest and company frameworks for testing database operations. Utilised the python Mock library for controlled testing of API endpoints. ● Experienced full cycle software development, including collaborative approaches to problem-solving with team members to plan and design a solution, writing documentation for design and functional specifications of the software, and maintenance of the software according to company standards, using Kanban and Jira. ● Practiced and developed techniques improving quality of code, in particular for large codebases, including code coverage, PEP8 code formatting, python debugging tools, logging, effective use of Git and Bitbucket source control. ● Revised the Cboe regulatory transaction reporting service documentation in accordance with error handling updates, using LaTex. ● Gained thorough insight into financial markets and trading through the Cboe Options Institute.

● Took charge of the backend development of Englib - a bespoke company software library that optimises the use of civil engineering standards, maintained on GitHub. ● Introduced an interactive version of gravity retaining wall calculations, using Matplotlib and Pandas python packages, and implemented unit tests to ensure validity of newly added content. ● Presented microtunnel spreadsheet development implementation, including a macro programmed in Visual Basic for automated back-calculation of neutral axes, to the COWI London team of 50 geotechnical engineers.

● Studied SQL over eight weeks, including joins, events, triggers, transactions, views and stored procedures and functions. ● Analysed database management techniques, data analysis for complex structures and data manipulation. ● Presented a property development database project, which increases the efficiency of a property management company, utilising industry knowledge gained from work experience at Silvercrown Property Services.

● Facilitated the manufacture of portable fNIRS brain scanners, alongside four other engineers and scientists, for rapid diagnosis through research and development. ● Experimented with three different compositions of adhesive to verify the robustness of optical fibres probing the scalp for scanning and imaging through tensile testing. ● Trialled the optimum number of optical fibres in each optode that accommodates both sensitivity and robustness.
